Pledges

Pledgeship is a very important process in becoming a full fledged member of Kappa Chi and with pledeship comes requirements and expectations. Kappa Upsilon Chi does not condone or permit hazing. We as an organization seek to mold and shape pledgees into tools for the Lord as active members.

Pledge Pre-requisites are:

1. Must have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

2. All pledges and Active members should have a desire to grow closer to Christ.

Requirements:

1. Attend 100% of Pledge meetings scheduled for the semester.

2. Attend 100% of Chapter meetings scheduled for the semester.

3. Attend 100% of Rush Activities scheduled for the semester.

4. Attend a weekly accountability group.

5. Attend the semester retreat.

6. Participate in the semester service project.

7. Attend semester prayer night and one additional chapter prayer event

8. Participate in a local church

9. Be involved in a Bible study.

10. Be currently enrolled at Texas Tech University

11. Maintain a minimum of 2.0 cumulative grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale).

12. Attend a minimum of 2 hours of study hall per week.

13. Pay semester dues.

Remember, your pledgeship is an exciting but demanding process that will help you in your faith and becoming a brother in Kappa Upsilon Chi. We pray that you lean on the Holy Spirit and keep God first.
