Pledgeship

The pledge semester of membership in Kappa Upsilon Chi is by far the most demanding. The semester teaches each young man numerous core values — leadership, accountability, loyalty, academics, faith and responsibility, to name a few. Pledges are expected to meet numerous requirements — all of which are designed to enhance the individual and help them grow and mature into the adult man that God desires them to be.

Pledges are also expected to attend pledge-specific events in addition to the regular chapter events that are designed to build a team environment and pledge class camaraderie. Such events include pledge-specific functions during retreats, additional pledge meetings, and personal and spiritual growth sessions through a one-on-one mentorship program.
